About CMB
Centre Médical Béraca is a Christian, not-for-profit hospital located in La Pointe, Northwest, Haiti. Founded in the 1940s by two missionary nurses, we were given the name Béraca, meaning "Valley of Blessing" (2 Chron. 20:26), and have since developed into one of the primary health care centers in Northwest Haiti.
During our first 50 years, Centre Médical Béraca was managed and operated by Crossworld (formerly Unevangelized Fields Mission) and its Haitian counterpart, Union Evangélique Baptiste d’Haiti (UEBH). It was during this time that medical missionaries from North America came to serve the people of La Pointe, establishing a framework in which CMB could grow and advance its programs in the years to come.

In 2003, Crossworld transferred full operations and management of CMB to UEBH, an association of over 200 Haitian churches. CMB has remained steadfast in its mission of offering Christ-centered, holistic healing of body, soul, and spirit for the people of Northwest Haiti.
La Pointe, Haiti
Located on the northwest coast of Haiti, La Pointe is where CMB found its beginnings over 75 years ago and continues to call home today. Serving a population of over 700,000 in the Northwest, CMB remains the only private, 24/7 hospital in the area.
La Pointe is about a six hour drive from Port-au-Prince and a 30-minute drive from Port-de-Paix. Neighboring communities include the city of Saint Louis and beach town Anse a Foleur.
