Since our founding by two missionary nurses in the 1940s, Centre Médical Béraca has transformed from a simple dispensary to one of the primary medical referral centers for the entire Northwest region of Haiti. Throughout our history, missionary and Haitian Christian medical professionals have worked together to advance our services, technology, and education.

In the last 25 years, CMB has transitioned to being completely managed and operated by Haitian physicians, staff, and Board of Directors, while being self-sustaining for day-to-day operations. However, serving in one of the poorest countries of the world, CMB relies on the assistance of outside partners for capital improvements, care of destitute patients, and educational stipends for physicians in training.​

The Orius Paultre Clinic
Three years after being launched, CMB's clinic expansion project has been completed despite all the challenges. Outpatient care is one of the fastest growing services at CMB and the new clinic will dramatically improve the delivery and safety of these services.
